Project Description
This conceptual hypothesis explores whether certain peptides may act as triggers for rapid state transitions in biological systems, similar to phase changes in physical systems. Specific peptides may induce sudden transitions between biological states — such as rest to activation, or inflammation to repair — once a critical threshold is reached. Proposed mechanisms include threshold-based activation of signaling networks, non-linear amplification of biological responses, coordinated switching between metabolic states, interaction with feedback loops to stabilize new states, and rapid reconfiguration of cellular behavior.
